About us |
What We Do Young professionals need to develop their business development skills in an appropriate environment. Appropriate networking opportunities for pro.manchester's younger professionals are not necessarily those that the more established professionals respond to. Our committee of young professionals have arranged over 100 events from our enormously successful and often repeated Speed Networking evenings to breakfast seminars giving insights into the diverse range of professions that pro.manchester represents. This varied programme gives our members and their guests opportunities to develop new contacts and have fun on the way to becoming one of tomorrow’s leaders. Developing Skills in the City Region Future pro.manchester is the wider organisation’s link into a pool of new talent. It is our aim to ensure we have the skills and future capabilities to service the F&P sector in years to come. This programme sees us forging links with the regions universities and higher education institutions. With a population of around 400,000 students, it is key to future pro.manchester’s goals to retain those skills in the city region. This programme sees us setting up careers events in these institutions, a road show showcasing skills outside of the region, workshops, advice and guidance to those looking to enter the profession. We also invite students along to our events, giving them a taste of professional life in the city, and gain key contacts to help them develop their careers. Professional excellence and recognition Its vital to recognise talent in our members, to help them develop their careers and raise profile for their companies. We annually partner Insider Magazine in a search for the city’s young talent. The Insider Young Professional Awards celebrate excellence in our young professional community in areas such as Young Dealmaker of the year, Young Property professional, and Young Entrepreneur of the year. We are always looking for innovative new ways to engage our members, help them develop their careers and drive our city forward If you have any further ideas on future pro.manchester events or activities we should be involved in please contact Sam Booth on sam.booth@pro-manchester.co.uk |
