“CANVAS FOR YOUTH” Contemporary Art Fair The first ever “Canvas for Youth” event will take place next year, celebrating 60 years of support for local disadvantaged young people. Based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire Youth Federation supports young people throughout Cheshire, Halton, Warrington and Wirral. They deliver projects in some of the most disadvantaged areas in the community, addressing the needs of children and young people aged between 5 and 25. They also provide informal education at two Youth Achievement Foundations, recruit, train and award young volunteers and support community youth groups with issues such as training, governance and youth development. See www.youthfed.org.uk Canvas for Youth Contemporary Art Fair, will involve both local and national artists. and will make use of the brand new statae of the art studio space at Mid Cheshire College, the event will also showcase some of their most talented students, as part of the exhibition. The work of up to 30 artists will be for sale, some with well established reputations. A 30% commission on each sale will go to the charity. The intention is for this event to happen bi-annually, and will be supported and enjoyed by art lovers from all over Cheshire. Canvas for Youth are looking for support from local organisations to help to make the event a success and to raise as much money as possible for The Youth Federation. Supporters will be invited to attend the official Sponsors Evening, and will be encouraged to bring along guests and associates to entertain at the exhibition. Many of the artists will be present during this evening and would be happy to discuss their work. Supporters will also have the chance to advertise on any printed matter produced for the event and have a feature on our exhibition website and inclusion in event related press releases.
