Digital futurist Ryan to speak at Professional Innovator Awards
future pro.manchester has announced that highly successful entrepreneur and digital futurist Mike Ryan will be the guest speaker at its Professional Innovator Awards on April 14th.
Mike, owner of Idaho, one of the UK’s best respected online technical development companies, is also secretary of Manchester Digital and a committed futurologist. He is a well respected leader on all aspects of innovation and technological development and is committed to the growth of Manchester as leading place for technology led life in the coming decades. He will speak on the future of innovation, how this will affect business and what we need to be doing to stay ahead.
Chairman of the future pro.manchester committee Miles Rothbury said: “It’s great to have the support of someone as influential and knowledgeable as Mike to speak at the awards ceremony and support the young innovative talent in Manchester, we’re thrilled to have him on board.”
The awards ceremony follows six months of challenges in which contestants battled it out to reach the final stage where they met with the expert judges for a gruelling interview. The panel who included Imran Hakim inventor of the i-Teddy which featured on BBC 2’s Dragon’s Den and Chris Morris, CEO of Late Room asked a series of tough questions designed to get the contestants thinking on their feet and to add that extra bit of pressure the interviews were also caught on camera. With the deliberation now over and the votes cast all that remains is to crown The Professional Innovator 2011.
The Professional Innovator Awards has been organised by future pro.manchester who represent the interests of tomorrow’s leaders in the city region and will be held at The Power House, MOSI.
