Is Manchester doing enough for entrepreneurs?

Has been the big question at pro·manchester for the past few months. The city region’s political and executive leadership committed to boosting the levels of business in Greater Manchester and increasing the number of entrepreneurs living and working here by undertaking a study and review programme on behalf of the Commission for the New Economy Discussion.

The call for evidence lasted ten weeks and closed on 27th October 2010. As part of the research process twenty workshops were held covering such topics as funding opportunities in e-commerce, renewable energy and other markets, creative and digital markets, confronting corporate failure, structured finance and exit strategies. An interim report containing summaries of these workshops was released in September.

The results from the final report published in December, will be revealed on the 25th January at a breakfast event to be held at Eversheds LLP.
