JMW launches new training package

ML Solutions is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of online anti money laundering training for the legal profession.

Under the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 law firms are required by law to provide AML training for their staff. Failure to comply is a criminal offence. The Law Society’s latest Practice Note recommends that some form of AML training should be provided every 2 years.   

More and more law firms are now considering online training as a means of satisfying these compulsory training obligations. It is apparent from extensive research within the profession that firms are looking for a dedicated training platform that (a) provides the right level of training (b) is easy to manage and control and (c) is cost effective.

1. A choice of 2 different levels of training - one for fee earners and one for administration and support staff. These courses are Law Society approved and carry the benefit of 2 CPD hours.
2. An optional refresher training course to facilitate compliance with the requirement for ongoing training. This course carries the benefit of 1 CPD hour.
3. Consideration of relevant case scenarios with question and answer sessions. Individual assessment/performance reports are available based on answers given.
4. Facility to download and/or print individual compliance training certificates.
5. Facility to download and/or print a summary of the course content.
6. 24 hour unlimited access to the training modules so that training can be undertaken at any time and from any place where there is an internet connection.
7. Full compliance with the Money Laundering Regulations and the Law Society Practice Note.

The back end administration module will provide user firms with the ability to manage and control their own AML training procedures easily with access to individual or group training reports and charts. Training schedules can be created which will identify training deadlines and reminders can be set for those requiring refresher training.
