Launch of business initiatives helps boost membership by 25 per cent

pro.manchester membership is up 25 per cent on last year, following the introduction of a range of new initiatives.

We now have more than 280 corporate members, with more than 3,000 individuals involved in the city region’s financial and professional services networking organisation.

New members include Begbies Traynor Group, BVCA, Coutts, GVA, Grimley, Morgan Stanley and Zeus Private Equity

The rise in membership comes off the back of a number of headline initiatives launched by chief executive John Ashcroft.

Speaking about the new drives, John said: “We wanted to target core groups within our membership and ensure we were delivering clear and focused initiatives for areas of growth within the financial and professional services sector.

“Bringing business and growth to our members is a key objective and our 2010 programme is testament to our determination to succeed.”

New initiatives include the Gateway Group, Manchester Private Equity Group (MPEG), Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) and Digital, Media and Creative Group (DMC).
