Positive outlook in city says Business Conditions Survey
The full results of the pro·manchester review will be released next week. 45% of respondents expect to increase employment and 48% have experienced difficulty in finding suitable staff, especially in the managerial and professional sector. A staggering 70% of respondents expect turnover and profitability to increase over the next twelve months, which augurs well for the economy of Greater Manchester The survey was completed by almost 45% of pro·manchester members with a good spread of activity and size of organisations. The survey, to be produced quarterly will form an important part of the economics briefing to be prepared by pro·manchester, the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and the New Economy. The briefing is presented to AGMA, the Combined Authority, the Business Leadership Council and the Greater Manchester LEP. Polling closed on Wednesday in the inaugural survey which will form part of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Economics Quarterly, to be released at the end of the month.
