Review of the year: pro·manchester Business Conference

March 2011 saw the inaugural pro·manchester Business Conference take place at Lancashire County Cricket Club’s state of the art venue The Point. Over 500 delegates heard from key note speakers including Angela Knight from the British Banking Association, Mark Berrisford Smith Senior Economist of HSBC Bank and Carl Emmerson, Deputy Director of The Institute of Fiscal Studies.

The conference the first of its kind in the U.K was hosted by Kirsty Wark and Gavin Elser and featured key note speeches and lively debate in a news style format.

On 1st March 2012, the conference will return to the Point, with hosts Kirsty and Gavin and speaker Angela Knight also returning for a second year. Delegates can also look forward to hearing from Goldman Sach’s Jim O’Neill, BGC Partners, Market Analyst Louise Cooper and Professor David Miles from the Monetary Policy Committee.
