Significant growth for JMW's employment team Ian Tranter took over the role of Head of Employment at JMW in January 2011 and has since been joined by Carl Moran as Partner from Manchester law firm Nexus and Laura Skelly from Dickinson Dees. Claire Deane, Louise Bennett and Rachael Frankland all joined JMW in July. Claire joins the employment team as a solicitor having previously been with the Manchester office of international law firm DLA Piper where she was a Solicitor for 18 months and Louise joins from Russell Jones and Walker. The rapid growth of the employment team has been due to an increase in instructions from both commercial clients and individuals. The firm has recently won two contracts for the provision of employment law advice to private individuals which will lead to at least 50 new clients instructing the firm each month. Commenting on the expansion of the employment team Ian Tranter, Partner and Head of Employment at JMW said: “I am delighted that we have been able to expand further due to an increasing level of instructions and I am pleased to welcome Claire, Louise and Rachael to the team. It has been an extremely busy six months since I became Head of Employment at JMW and I know that our new recruits will make a significant contribution to our future development.”
