Future pro.manchester’s popular Speed Networking event returned to the Yang Sing on Thursday 14th October this time with an innovative twist. Over fifty professionals were prepped in advance to have business cards at the ready and their sixty second pitches fine tuned in order to maximise their networking time!
As has become tradition with Speed Networking the pace was frantic but fun with guests meeting over 25 contacts in under two hours Lucy Oates of RMS PR said ‘ this was speed networking with a difference, only having a few minutes to talk about yourself and your company means you cut out the waffle and get straight to the point – very refreshing!’ And there were some success stories too Ben Wyatt of Mathys & Squire said ‘ the very day after the event, a client happened to ask about some legal advice in a completely unrelated field to ourselves, I was happy to give him the details of two of the people I’d met at Speed Networking, I’ve found the standard of the attendees at future pro.manchester events are high and this facilities better quality networking and the cross referral of some substantial opportunities. Whilst Jennifer Smith of Ralli reported ‘ the week after the event, I received an enquiry as a result of meeting somebody there. The enquiry did not come direct from a person I met at the networking event – even better – the person I had networked with, recommended me to a business colleague’ |
