We Love MCR Day - Friday 26 August

As part of the I Love MCR campaign which has taken off across the city, this Friday is to be designated ‘We Love MCR’ day.
Loads of businesses have already been coming up with ideas of what they will do to celebrate, including opportunities to super-size the I Love MCR logo, encouraging staff to wear an I Love MCR T-shirt to work, organising cake bakes or time off in aid of their own corporate charities, and many more ideas.

Exchange Square Event
The main area of activation in the city will be at Exchange Square, with a stage set up for speeches and performances, stalls selling food and drink, places to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and some mass participation ideas to be unveiled on the day.
The main activity will take place between 4pm and 6pm and businesses are being encouraged to let their staff leave work early where possible, on the proviso that they go out and enjoy all Manchester has to offer.

All ideas and suggestions posted on facebook in support of the campaign will be collated and shared, so if you have an idea make sure tell everyone about it at www.facebook.com/WeLoveMCR. The campaign has already attracted over 9,000 ‘likes’ and the number continues to rise steadily.
